ABOUT

GBER: Gathering Brisk Elderly in the Region is an information platform that promotes social participation for the elderly and others, offering flexibility in time and place.
It visualizes information on diverse local activities and community resources such as hobbies, lifelong learning, volunteer work, and jobs, and makes them useful as local infrastructure. Taking into account the diversification of people and lifestyles, it supports self-directed, fluid community participation — combining each person's strengths like pieces of a mosaic to tackle local challenges. This is expected to serve as a lifeline supporting the next generation's way of life.

FUTURE

In a super-aged society where rapid population decline is accompanied by further aging, we must address diverse challenges even as the regional support base weakens. We believe these challenges can be overcome when multigenerational residents, businesses, local governments, and various stakeholders join hands. With life expectancies approaching 100 years and medical evidence showing rejuvenation of body and mind in later life, there is a growing need for systems that enable people to remain engaged with their communities and society at any age.

What is Mosaic-type Social Participation

Many older adults prefer part-time, supplementary work over full-time employment.

When municipalities, local organizations, and residents share challenges and join in where they find common ground,
